What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

  1. Before you start, collect these papers for the seller or donor and for the buyer or donee.

    Have ready:

    • A copy of the allotment letter or the earlier transfer letter
    • ID proof, Aadhaar card and PAN card of every person signing
    • Passport-size photographs of each person, and two witnesses for each indemnity bond

  2. First get CHB’s no-objection certificate (NOC) for the sale, gift or transfer of the lease rights. Fill in the application for the NOC.

  3. The seller, donor or transferor fills in the affidavit and the indemnity bond for the NOC.

  4. The purchaser, donee or transferee fills in the affidavit and the indemnity bond for the NOC.

  5. Attach the sheet with three photographs and specimen signatures for the NOC, then file the NOC papers with CHB.

  6. After the NOC and the deed, apply to CHB to transfer the leasehold property on the transfer of lease rights.

  7. Fill in the indemnity bond for the transfer based on the deed of lease rights.

  8. Sign the tripartite agreement between CHB, the transferor and the transferee.

  9. Attach the sheet with three photographs and specimen signatures for the transfer, then file the transfer papers with CHB.
