What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

  1. Before you start, collect these papers.

    Have ready:

    • ID proof and address proof of everyone who will sign
    • A list of everything in the home: furniture, appliances, fittings

  2. Make the tenancy agreement for the furnished home and have both sides and two witnesses sign it.

  3. List every item of furniture, appliance and fitting in the inventory schedule and attach it to the agreement.

  4. When the tenant moves in, walk through the home together, fill in the move-in checklist with its condition and the meter readings, and both sign it.

  5. When you take the security deposit, give the tenant a receipt for it.

  6. Fill in the police verification report for the tenant and submit it as the local police station asks.
