Before you start, collect these papers.
Have ready:
- The full names, addresses and relationship of the giver and the receiver
- The amount, and whether it is paid in cash or by bank transfer, with the date
When one person gives money to a relative, make the gift deed of money, sign it with two witnesses, and keep it as the record that it was a gift and not a loan.

The receiver makes the declaration of gifts received: the receiver’s own record of gifts received at a wedding or family event, kept for tax records.
