What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

  1. Before you start, collect these papers.

    Have ready:

    • The lease deed or the agreed lease terms the guarantee is for
    • The amount to be guaranteed and the date until which it must run

  2. If the tenant will give a bank guarantee in place of a cash deposit, use the format to prepare it and ask the issuing bank to sign it.

  3. If the tenant is a company backed by a parent company, make the corporate guarantee and have the parent company sign it.

  4. If a person will stand guarantor for the tenant, make the deed of guarantee, sign it and have two witnesses sign.
