What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

  1. Before you start, collect these papers.

    Have ready:

    • The owner’s title papers, the approved plan and the area of the premises
    • The rent, the deposit and the period you propose

  2. Make the offer of premises to the bank with the area, rent and terms you propose, and send it to the bank.

  3. When the bank accepts, make the commercial lease deed (pattanama), sign it and have two witnesses sign.

  4. If the bank gives a bank guarantee instead of a cash deposit, use the guarantee format to prepare it and ask the issuing bank to sign it.

  5. Only if a separate ATM will be placed on the premises, make the ATM space lease agreement. Skip this step otherwise.
