What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

  1. Before you start, collect these papers.

    Have ready:

    • The allotment letter and the lease deed, or the transfer letter, for the site or dwelling unit
    • Your ID proof, Aadhaar and PAN, and three photographs
    • The challan receipt for the fee, from the Treasury

  2. If the unit is held from the Estate Office, make the application to convert leasehold to freehold.

  3. If the unit is a Chandigarh Housing Board unit, fill in the CHB application for conversion to freehold and its affidavit, and hand them in at the CHB reception counter.

  4. After the conversion, apply to the CHB for the deed of conveyance to be executed.
