What you will need
Use the papers in this order.
Before you start, decide these things and collect these papers.
Have ready:
- A list of your property and who should get what
- The name of the person you want as executor
- Two people to be witnesses, and your ID proof
Make the Will (Vasiyat). Sign it in front of two witnesses, who also sign.

Ask the person you named as executor to sign their consent to act.

Have a witness sign a declaration that they saw you sign the Will of your own free will.
- Witness Attestation Declaration for a Will (made below, with your kit details)
If you are elderly or unwell, ask your doctor for a medical fitness certificate for the Will.
- Medical Fitness Certificate for a Testator (made below, with your kit details)
If you want the Will registered, make the application to register it at the Sub-Registrar’s office.
