What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

  1. Before you start, the couple collects these papers.

    Have ready:

    • ID, age proof and address proof of the husband and the wife
    • The date and place of the marriage, and the names and addresses of two witnesses

  2. Make the marriage affidavit, which confirms the date and place of the marriage, and have it sworn.

  3. If you are marrying in court, each of you makes the court marriage affidavit on age and marital status.

  4. Make the marriage registration application. If the marriage was an Anand Karaj, make the Anand marriage registration application instead.

  5. If you live in Chandigarh, fill in the Municipal Corporation marriage entry form. If you live in Punjab, fill in the Sewa Punjab marriage registration form.

These are the office’s own blank forms. Print them and fill them in by hand. They are free and do not count towards your daily downloads.
