What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

Before you start, collect these papers.
Have ready:
- ID proof and address proof of everyone who will sign
- The title papers of both properties, with their khasra or plot numbers and areas
Make the exchange deed (tabadla), sign it on the stamp paper and have it registered before the sub-registrar with two witnesses.

After the registration, apply for mutation so that the revenue record shows each side as the owner of the property it received.

Each side swears a non-encumbrance affidavit that its property is free of any loan, mortgage, dispute or other claim.

When each side hands over its property, sign the possession letter (kabza patra).
