What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

  1. Before you start, find out which certificate the job or the admission asks for, and collect these papers.

    Have ready:

    • Aadhaar card and proof of your present address
    • Your father's or family's older papers (ration card, land record, school record) that show where the family lives

  2. For a rural area certificate, make the rural area certificate affidavit.

  3. For a border area certificate, make the border area certificate affidavit.

  4. For a domicile certificate, make the domicile certificate supporting affidavit.

  5. For a BC or SC certificate, make the BC/SC certificate supporting affidavit.

  6. For an EWS certificate, make the EWS certificate affidavit. Get each affidavit sworn, then file it with the application for that certificate.
