What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

  1. Before you start, collect these papers.

    Have ready:

    • A copy of the registered sale deed
    • The latest property tax bill and electricity bill of the property
    • Your ID proof and address proof

  2. Once the sale deed is registered, make the mutation (intkal) application so the land record shows you as the owner.

  3. Pay the mutation fee, then make the fee challan and receipt for your file.

  4. If you hear nothing after some weeks, ask for the status of your mutation.

  5. Once the record shows your name, apply to put the electricity connection in your name.

  6. Last, ask the Municipal Corporation to put your name in the property tax record.
