Why a kit

  • Fill your details once, and every paper in the kit is filled for you.
  • All the papers for the deal, in the right order, with a checklist to tick off.
  • A kit counts as one download, however many papers it has.

What you will need

Use the papers in this order.

  1. The donor, who is giving the vehicle, makes the vehicle gift affidavit and gets it sworn.

    Have ready:

    • The original RC and insurance certificate, and ID proof of the donor and the donee
  2. Make the RC transfer affidavit to go with the transfer. Choose that you are the registered owner and the transferor.

  3. The donor fills in Form 29 (notice of transfer) in two copies, hands the RC and the insurance certificate to the donee, and sends the form to the RTO.

  4. The donee fills in Form 30 (application for transfer of ownership) and files it at the RTO with the papers it asks for, often online through Parivahan.

Official forms

These are the office’s own blank forms. Print them and fill them in by hand. They are free and do not count towards your daily downloads.

Tell us the details of this deal once. Each document in the kit then opens with those answers already filled in, marked "From kit details", and you can change any of them.

A kit is for one deal: one set of people, one property. For a different deal, start a new kit.

These details stay in this browser tab only. Nothing new is kept on our servers, and closing the tab clears them. They survive signing in with a code in this same tab.
