What you will need
Use the papers in this order.
Before you start, have these ready.
Have ready:
- The mortgage deed, with its registration details, and proof that the loan is fully repaid
- The property’s revenue record showing the mortgage entry
Once the loan is repaid, make the mortgage release deed, signed by the lender, to end the mortgage.

Where the mortgage was by conditional sale or transfer of title, make the reconveyance deed that gives the property back to the owner.

Apply for mutation so the redemption is entered in the revenue record.
- Mutation on Redemption of a Mortgage (made below, with your kit details)
Apply for the old mortgage entry to be deleted from the record.
- Deletion of a Mortgage Entry (made below, with your kit details)
