What you will need
Use the papers in this order.
Before you start, collect these papers.
Have ready:
- The landlord’s ownership paper and the tenant’s ID proof
- The shop’s address, area, rent, deposit and period agreed
Make the shop, showroom or booth rent agreement and have both sides sign it.

If the tenant needs a GST or company registration at the shop, the landlord signs the NOC for it.

When the keys are handed over, sign the handover and possession memo, with a list of any defects.

If the tenant will build or fit out the shop, sign the fit-out agreement, which also records the landlord’s consent to the works.

For a signboard or hoarding, sign the signage rights letter.
