Required — sworn before a Notary Public, an Oath Commissioner, or an Executive Magistrate, with the sponsor appearing in person with photo identification. Because this undertaking is generally relied upon outside India, some consulates additionally require an apostille (India is a party to the Hague Apostille Convention) from the Ministry of External Affairs or an MEA-appointed agency, or consular attestation, on top of notarisation — confirm the destination country's specific requirement.

SPONSOR FINANCIAL UNDERTAKING (VISA)

I, Kuldeep Singh, S/o Sh. Gurmail Singh, resident of House No. 77, Urban Estate, Phase II, Patiala, by occupation Agriculturist and owner of 12 acres of agricultural land, PAN ABCDE1234F, contact number 98765 43210, do hereby solemnly affirm, declare and undertake as under:

1. That Simranjit Kaur is my daughter ("the Beneficiary"), who is applying for a student visa for Canada. X

2. That I undertake to fund the following, in connection with the Beneficiary's visa application and stay in Canada: tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses, health insurance and return travel

3. That the total amount I undertake to make available is ₹35,00,000 (Rupees Thirty Five Lakh only).

4. That the source of these funds is savings held in bank accounts in the sponsor's own name. Specifically, fixed deposits of Rs 18,00,000 at Punjab National Bank, Patiala, and annual agricultural income of approximately Rs 9,00,000.

5. That the funds referred to above are, and will remain, from my own lawful sources, have been or will be duly declared for tax purposes as applicable, and are not borrowed from any undisclosed source.

6. That I undertake to make these funds available for the entire duration of the course and the validity of the visa. X

7. That any remittance made under this undertaking shall be subject to, and made in accordance with, the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 and the regulations of the Reserve Bank of India for the time being in force.

8. That this undertaking is given to be produced before the visa or consular authority of Canada, or such other authority as may require it, and may be relied upon by that authority.

9. That the contents of this affidavit are true and correct to my knowledge and belief, that no part of it is false and that nothing material has been concealed therefrom.
