कब ज़रूरत पड़ती है

An enterprise registered on the Udyam portal wants to record and declare its Udyam Registration Number and MSME classification in one document — to hand to a customer or buyer who needs it on file, to a bank for a loan application, or simply as its own record of the basis on which it is classified. Udyam Registration itself is done online, based on self-declaration, using the enterprise's PAN and GST-linked data, under the notification of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises dated 26 June 2020 issued under ss.7 and 8 of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, with effect from 1 July 2020.

A factual self-declaration by an enterprise of its own Udyam classification is not an instrument chargeable under Schedule I or Schedule I-A of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, in either Punjab or Chandigarh — it creates no right, obligation or interest between two parties and is not a conveyance, agreement, bond or any other instrument that Schedule attaches duty to. Plain paper, on the enterprise's own letterhead, is sufficient.

रजिस्ट्री

Not registrable under the Registration Act, 1908, and not related to registration under that Act at all. The only registration this document concerns is Udyam Registration itself, done online at udyamregistration.gov.in, which this declaration records rather than replaces.

नोटरी

Not required. This is a factual declaration on the enterprise's own authority, not a sworn affidavit; notarisation adds nothing to it, though an enterprise may notarise it if a particular recipient specifically asks for that extra step.

गवाह

Not required. The authorised signatory's signature is sufficient.

UDYAM / MSME DECLARATION

To: Northline Analytics Private Limited, for its vendor records

I/We, on behalf of Bansal Fresh Foods, a sole proprietorship concern, having its registered or principal place of business at Shop No. 22, Sector 22-C, Chandigarh 160022, PAN AFRPB2211J (the "Enterprise"), do hereby declare as follows.

1. The Enterprise is registered on the Udyam Registration portal maintained under the notification of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises dated 26 June 2020, issued under ss.7 and 8 of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006.

2. The Enterprise's Udyam Registration Number is UDYAM-PB-03-0012345, and the date of that registration is 1 April 2026.

3. As on the date of this declaration, the Enterprise is classified as a Micro Enterprise within the meaning of s.7 of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, its major activity being Manufacturing.

4. That classification is based on an investment in plant and machinery or equipment of ₹45,00,000 (Rupees Forty Five Lakh only) and an annual turnover of ₹3,80,00,000 (Rupees Three Crore Eighty Lakh only), both as declared on the Udyam Registration portal and computed on the composite basis the notification referred to in clause 1 prescribes.

5. The Enterprise undertakes to file a fresh Udyam Registration whenever its investment or turnover crosses the threshold for its current classification, as that notification and any successor to it require, and to promptly inform Northline Analytics Private Limited, for its vendor records of any change in its classification or in the particulars declared above.

6. The Enterprise confirms that the information given in this declaration is true and correct to the best of its knowledge, and consents to it being relied upon and verified against the Udyam Registration portal.
