कब ज़रूरत पड़ती है

जब कोई बैंक, GST अधिकारी, सरकारी विभाग या टेंडर देने वाला इस बात का सबूत माँगे कि कारोबार एकल स्वामित्व वाला है — एक ही व्यक्ति उसका मालिक है, कोई साझेदार या कंपनी नहीं, और मालिक से अलग उसकी कोई क़ानूनी हस्ती नहीं — और इसे दूसरे पंजीकरण प्रमाण-पत्रों के बदले या उनके साथ हस्ताक्षरित और शपथ-युक्त घोषणा के रूप में चाहे। प्रोप्राइटरी फ़र्म के नाम से चालू खाता खोलने के लिए भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक के KYC निर्देश आम तौर पर फ़र्म का नाम और पता दिखाने वाले दो दस्तावेज़ माँगते हैं, और दो न मिलने पर मालिक की ओर से एकल स्वामित्व की घोषणा।

A Rs 10 non-judicial stamp paper is commonly used for an affidavit of this kind in both Punjab and Chandigarh; confirm the value currently accepted with the notary or Oath Commissioner before the affidavit is engrossed.

Required. This is an affidavit and must be sworn before a Notary Public appointed under the Notaries Act, 1952, or before an Oath Commissioner or Executive Magistrate authorised to administer oaths, who verifies the Deponent's identity and signature and endorses the affidavit accordingly. Most banks and authorities that ask for a document of this kind specifically expect it to be notarised.
