HOSTEL ADMISSION AND ACCOMMODATION AGREEMENT
- 1. ADMISSION AND ALLOCATION
Hostel: City Scholars Hostel, operated by Harpreet Singh at House 118, Sector 35-A, Chandigarh. Host/owner: Harpreet Singh. Resident: Aarav Sharma, contact +91 XXXXX XXXXX / aarav@example.com.
Admission date: 2 April 2026. Check-in: 1 April 2026. Scheduled check-out: 28 February 2027. Approximate stay: 9 months.
Resident category: Student resident. Institution/employer: Panjab University; course/role: B.Com student
Room Room 203, bed Bed B is allocated for personal use. Legal character: Hostel accommodation is a personal licence with no exclusive possession of a separately demised unit. Reallocation: Operator may reasonably reallocate room/bed for safety, maintenance or hostel administration with notice.
- 2. FEES AND SERVICES
Admission fee: ₹5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand only). Monthly accommodation charge: ₹12,000 (Rupees Twelve Thousand only). Security deposit: ₹12,000 (Rupees Twelve Thousand only).
Meals: No meals included. Electricity: Included subject to hostel fair-use rule. Laundry: No laundry service included.
- 3. ACCESS, VISITORS AND CONDUCT
Access timing: Resident must comply with stated hostel access timings and safety check-in process. Details: Main gate 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM; late entry by prior intimation.. Visitors: Visitors only in designated common area during stated hours.
Conduct: No violence, substance misuse, illegal activity, harassment, deliberate damage or serious nuisance. Inventory: Resident is responsible for allocated hostel inventory beyond ordinary use. Discipline: Ordinary breaches receive written warning and opportunity to correct; serious safety/illegal conduct may justify immediate licence withdrawal.
The operator retains management control of the hostel, common areas and allocations. The resident does not receive exclusive possession of a separately demised premises and may not assign, sub-license or transfer the allocated bed/room use.
- 4. VERIFICATION AND EMERGENCIES
Police verification: Owner/operator will submit the required paying-guest/hostel occupant verification.
The owner/operator is responsible for the paying-guest/hostel occupant police-verification process in Punjab and Chandigarh.
Emergency rule: Operator may contact the resident emergency contact and emergency services where reasonably necessary. Emergency contact: Rajiv Sharma, +91 XXXXX XXXXX.
- 5. ENDING ACCOMMODATION
Termination: Resident may leave on stated written notice; operator may withdraw licence for material breach after process stated here. Resident notice: 15 days. Refund/settlement: Unused refundable amounts and deposit are itemised after handover subject to agreed deductions.
No section 106 Transfer of Property Act notice is created or required by this agreement because the resident occupies as licensee, not tenant.
