What it's used for
- There are three ways to get a copy: online at jamabandi.punjab.gov.in, at the Fard Kendra or Sewa Kendra counter, or from the Halqa Patwari for an old jamabandi or a gap in the computerised record.
- A wrong entry is corrected with a Fard Badar application, not a mutation. A change of owner needs a mutation (intkal).
- A Chandigarh sector property held from the Estate Office has no jamabandi, so no fard: its record is the Estate Office file. Chandigarh's own revenue villages, such as Manimajra, keep a jamabandi.
